Pastor Don Johnson
Pastor Don is a humble charismatic leader that believes building God’s people is the strategy for success. A native of Jacksonville, Florida, Pastor Don Johnson has had the opportunity to carry this gospel all over the country preaching the Kingdom of God. Pastor Don is the founder and Senior Pastor of The House of Prayer located in Jacksonville, Florida. The House of Prayer is a vibrant ministry that impacts people of all ages, socioeconomic classes, and ethnic backgrounds.
Pastor Johnson has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from Bethune-Cookman University. He holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Webster University. He also has an Honorary Doctorate from St. Thomas Bible College. He has had the opportunity to teach several classes at Truth Bible College. He is the President of HouseCares. HouseCares is a Non-profit organization that is responsible for feeding and clothing thousands of families yearly.
In 1997, Pastor Johnson received a call from God to surrender his life. Not many years following that life-changing event, in 1999 he accepted his call into ministry under the leadership of the late Bishop C.D. Kinsey. For the next few years he served faithfully under his leadership. Pastor Johnson also held many different titles in the church to help further the vision for the Kingdom of God under Dr. Carrie B. Kinsey. Pastor Johnson believes that the keys to increasing churches today are spiritual commitment and personal involvement. He has committed his heart and life to Jesus Christ. He compels others not to settle and to take their prayers, faith, giving, worship and praise to the next dimension. He encourages believers to acquire the necessary skills and to develop attitudes that promote spiritual growth and Godly wisdom. Pastor Johnson has submitted to the Apostolic leadership of Bishop T.D. Jakes.
Pastor Don Johnson is married to Prophetess Phaedra Johnson. They have three wonderful sons: Terrance, Donald, and Jeremiah.
